  • Owner/operator of professional, high-end location sound recording equipment and post-production studio.

  • Experienced in film audio post-production, including dialogue editing, ADR, foley and ambience recording and implementation, as well as final soundtrack mixing and mastering in both stereo and 5.1 surround sound.

  • Recording and studio production experience since 2002. Experienced in MIDI sequencing and digital audio processing. Able to work completely remotely for composing and sound design projects.

  • Composition and songwriting experience since 2000. Composed score for six feature films as well as dozens of shorts and commercials. Composed and independently released 8 full length solo albums, and over 20 full length collaborative albums.

  • Live stage performance experience since 1999. Guitar, bass, drums and keyboard playing experience since 1995.

Location Sound
Location sound mixing and recording in virtually any location; boom operating; understanding of wireless radio technology to implement use of wireless mics as needed; identifying ideal microphone placement per camera frame, lighting, shadow, reflection and subject positions; communicating with camera crew, determining frame lines, and planning routes when camera and subjects are in motion; comfortably working with cast for wireless lavalier microphone setups; recording pristine dialogue tracks with multiple microphone sources; avoiding boom shadows, reflections and frame edges; being attentive to all extraneous noises on location; collecting all potentially useful sound fx; and recording needed wild dialogue lines, ambience, and room tone on set.

Audio Post-Production
Communicating with director about their vision; Communicating with editing team to best handle transfer of all assets; Spotting session of all needed ADR, voiceovers, foley, sound FX and music cues; Dialogue editing - cleaning up and sweetening the recorded voices; Foley - recording the sound of a performance of the details of a scene; adding the subtlety of footsteps, clothing movement and much more to fill in the sounds of the diegetic space on screen; Sound FX - being creative with sound manipulation and synthesis in order to create whatever is needed to complete a scene; Final Mix - all of these elements, as well as music, are combined and mixed together at their appropriate standard volumes, using distribution guidelines; able to provide stereo and/or surround sound mixing; M&E (music & effects) stem mix-downs will be submitted.
